2K PROFESSIONAL GLOSS TRANSPARENT SPRAY ENGINE PAINT

This 2K transparent gloss engine spray paint is designed for painting motorcycle, car, marine, and other high-temperature engines.

This product is specifically created to provide the highest protection for engine components and brake calipers.

The special spray comes with an internal capsule containing a catalyst, which is released by pressing a button at the bottom of the can.

After thoroughly shaking, you need to use it within 12 hours. If necessary, you can store it in the fridge to slow down the catalysis for up to 48 hours, meaning it can be used for a maximum of 3 days.

A practical tip is to let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes after taking it out of the fridge to help the paint, which may have thickened due to cold, return to its liquid form.

It has elastic properties that allow it to resist sudden thermal shocks, such as those caused by cold puddle water splashing onto a hot engine in winter, which can cause the paint layer to expand and contract quickly.

PREPARATION AND TOOLS

It is recommended to wear latex gloves to avoid contact between your hands and the metal. Always degrease the metal with our Kustomservice aviation degreaser. Prepare the metal with our high-temperature primers to prevent rust and oxidation.

PAINTING NOTES

Ambient temperature greatly influences painting results. Avoid painting when parts are exposed to direct sunlight.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Clean the parts with our Aviation Degreaser.
  2. Shake the spray well.
  3. Apply a light coat and wait 10 minutes.
  4. Apply a full coat and wait 10 minutes.
  5. Apply a second full coat and allow 48 hours for parts to dry before mounting.

TOUCH AND INSTALLATION TIMES FOR PAINTED PARTS:

  • Touch dry in 12 hours
  • Mountable in 48 hours
  • Maximum resistance in 1 week

FUEL RESISTANCE TEST RESULTS (tested at 18°C):

  • 3-4 days for maximum chemical resistance at 18-20°C
  • 1 hour when baked at 60°C
  • 30 days at 10-12°C

NOTE: You can speed up the chemical drying process by baking the paint at 60°C for 1 hour.

PAINTING OBSERVATIONS

Drying times between coats depend on factors such as ambient temperature and should never be accelerated with mechanical tools like heat guns, body shop ovens, or forced air.

IMPORTANT

The result of a good job totally depends on the preparation and cleaning of the components. So, attention to preparation is more important than the painting process itself.
