Translucent matte 1K spray paint for direct adhesion on galvanized, chromed, and polished metals, suitable for withstanding engine temperatures.
It is used as a protective coating. It serves as a primer for painting chromed objects or accessories made of silver, copper, brass, and polished bronze, to which it adheres without the need for sanding.
This product has been designed to restore and refurbish any shiny or chromed engine or metal component.
It protects chrome from scratches and oxidation over time through a barrier effect, not a chemical effect.
It has elastic properties that allow it to resist sudden temperature fluctuations, for example, from cold puddle water that can wet a hot engine in winter, causing the paint layer to expand and contract rapidly.
CAN IT BE USED FOR MOTORCYCLE EXHAUSTS?
NO! IT CANNOT BE APPLIED TO EXHAUSTS (MUFFLERS)
It can only be applied to motorcycle engines, car engines, boats, and vehicles of all kinds and types.
It cannot be applied to vehicle exhausts. For these components, you need other paints found in the exhaust paint section.
IS IT SUITABLE FOR NORMAL ENGINES AND MARINE ENGINES?
Yes, it is suitable for any engine in any vehicle.
TECHNICAL DETAILS
This paint is the only one capable of directly adhering to chromed, galvanized, and nickel-plated metals without the need for a primer or for the pieces to be sandblasted.
The KSM1000 Extreme ceramic clear can also be tinted black and is available in both matte and glossy versions.
With this paint, you can change the color of your custom chromed components without the need for sandblasting. You can quickly turn them matte black or gloss black, achieving perfect adhesion.

PREPARATION AND TOOLS
It is mandatory to wear latex gloves to avoid contact between bare hands and metal.
Always degrease metals with our Kustomservice aerospace degreaser.
PREPAINTING OBSERVATIONS
Ambient temperature has a significant effect on the painting and its results, so avoid painting while exposing the pieces to the sun.
HIGH TEMPERATURE ENGINE PAINT APPLICATION

Degrease the parts well with our Aerospace Degreaser.

Shake the spray well.

Apply a light coat and wait 10 minutes.

Apply a full coat and wait 10 minutes.

Apply a second full coat and wait for the technical drying times as follows:

NOTE: The paint can be baked to speed up the chemical drying process by heating it to 40°C for 1 hour.
PAINTING OBSERVATIONS
Drying times between coats are determined by factors such as ambient temperature, and in the case of this paint, they should never be accelerated by mechanical means such as heat guns, body shop ovens, or forced air.
IMPORTANT
The quality of the work entirely depends on the preparation and cleaning stages of the components. Therefore, more attention should be paid to preparation than to the painting itself.
